Abby and Luke

Luke in his bumpo (? I am not sure if that is what it is called or not). We are borrowing from some friends who have 4 girls (thus the pink). Notice Luke sporting his Truman apparel.

My Haircut

I got a little bit of a trim :)
I love it. Miriam isn't such a big fan. Abby says she likes it (I might have helped her on the answer).

Why ... you may ask?

It is kind of an outward symbol marking the beginning of my training for next year's NEMO triathlon in Kirksville, MO. I want to compete and so I have started training. And I just wanted to have it short. I don't think I have had it this short in a long, long time ... high school maybe.
What do you think ... does it rock or flop?

Uprooted

Tonight I ripped out all but 2 of the bushes from our yard. I had a lot of help from my buddy Luke Nettleton. He brought his truck over, threw a chain around each bush and yanked those bad boys out of there ... except for one sturdy bush that broke 2 chains. Guess I will have to dig that one out :( ... anyone looking for a nice sturdy bush they want to transplate?

We are going to be doing some landscaping and gardening in the areas where the bushes were. We just had to get rid of them. I am not a huge fan of bushes ... especially the ones that stink.

Luke

Here is our 4 month old boy, who can now roll over from front to back and back to front. He is demonstrating his new back to front skills in this shot. Now that he knows how to roll, he is rarely content to just lie on his back.
And here is our smiling baby! Luke is so sweet, easy disposition, happy, talkative boy. We sure are blessed to have him in our family.

Nathie turns 3

Nathie and Joel (Miriam's brother) with Nathie's cool spiderman cake. Credit goes to Shelley on the spiderman cake ... lots of time, patience and skill. Joel and Shelley did a great job with the party and everyone had a good time. While Nathan was opening his presents, Abby kept wandering to his newly received stash and kept saying, "I wanna share." Of course she wants to share when she wants to play with someone else's toy. It was kind of funny, kind of sad. Nathie let Abby read some of his books ... while he was busy tromping around his new green rain boots, spiderman pajamas, and playing a toy trumpet. Does it get much better?

Walk for Life at Joel's

We went down to Joel and Shelley's house in Springfield, MO this weekend for Nathie's 3rd Birthday, to see Mom and Dad Block, and to spend some time with Joel and Fam. We have had a great time so far. Saturday morning we all participated in a Walk For Life for a preganancy center. The walk was about 3 miles, the weather was great (a little warm but could have been raining so I'm not complaining), and the fellowship was fun.

Abby and Noah sitting by a water fall rock thing prior to the walk starting.
Abby couldn't resist the water (especially after our walk) and began monkeying around in the water. Cute Girl!
